A person unfit for any teaching

A person unfit for any teaching

A man unsuitable for any teaching stubbornly climbed the mountains to meet the hermit who lived there, in the hope of becoming his disciple. Finally he reached the cave.

“Teacher,” the man cried out, falling to his knees in front of him, “I beg you, let me stay!” I will serve you - this is my ardent desire.

- Get out! Get out of my sight! - the hermit said in response.

Slowly and dejectedly the man walked back down. Suddenly, when he was already at the foot, he noticed that the hermit was waving his hand and calling him back.

“Oh, it was just a test,” he sighed with relief and rushed headlong up the slope. When he, out of breath, climbed up to the cave, the hermit sternly said to him:

- And one more thing. Don't even think about coming up here again, especially if that nonsense about a "test" comes into your head.
