The more important the event, the more money you save. I made the first payment for your wedding - save the rest together with Gena. In years to come you will see how happy you were.
Raisa shared this idea with Gennady, who also really liked the idea and they began to wait for a reason for the next contribution. After some time, they already had enough entries: February 6, $50 – Gena’s first birthday after the wedding; March 12, $100 – Raisa’s salary was raised; April 27, $200 - vacation at sea; May 15, $500 - Raisa is pregnant; etc.
However, over the years they began to fight over ordinary everyday things. We stopped talking to each other the way we used to. After a while they began to regret that they had thrown in their lot with each other. Love is gone...
One day Raisa confessed to her mother:
“I can no longer live with this person and I’m ready for a divorce.” I can't imagine how I married such a man!
The mother replied that she did not mind, but first suggested that her daughter spend all the money from the old savings book, which no one had replenished for a long time - why keep memories of an unsuccessful marriage? Raisa agreed and found the passbook with the intention of canceling the account. However, her gaze lingered on the last entries, after which she carefully read all the previous ones. Memories of her former happiness overwhelmed her. She burst into tears. After she came to her senses, she gave the book to Gennady so that he could manage the money. Gennady left and came only in the evening. He handed Raisa a book where a new amount of $2,000 was noted and the following entry: “On this day I found you again, remembering and realizing how much I love you and how much happiness you gave me.”
